Australian Secondary School Exhibition
งานนิทรรศการศึกษาต่อระดับมัธยมศึกษาที่ประเทศออสเตรเลีย To give parents an opportunity to understand how an Australian high school can benefit their child’s future and prepare them as global citizens, CETA (Complete Education and Touring Australia), the Bangkok-based educational specialists in Australia study at secondary school level, and the Australian Education Assessment Services (AEAS) are organising the annual Australian Secondary School Exhibition and Cocktail Party on July 3rd 2010 from 11am-4pm at The Westin Grande Sukhumvit Hotel, (Grand Ballroom) on Sukhumvit Soi 19. Admission is free.
Twenty top private secondary schools and specialists high school language schools from Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney will attend this secondary school exhibition, the only one of its kind in Thailand. The schools represented are from Australia’s best private schools and these include day and boarding schools for boys and girls, girls-only schools, boys-only schools, and IB schools. Government schools will also be represented.
The format of the exhibition has been designed as a cocktail format so that parents and students can relax and spend quality time to talk to Australian representatives from each school to obtain the most relevant information and to meet and talk with CETA Managing Directors, Andrew and Tracey Gray. Parents and students can also meet with AEAS representatives to find out about testing required for entry to many of Australia’s most prestigious schools.
A special seminar conducted by AUSTRADE through the Australian Embassy, titled, “What parents can expect for your child to study in Australia” will also be held. This seminar will provide an excellent overview of the quality framework and curriculum levels for study in Australia as a world class education destination. Parents and students will also be given advise and counsel on the features and advantages of secondary school education in Australia, university pathways after graduation from Australian high school and overall requirements to successfully live and study in Australia at secondary high school level.
CETA Thai Education counsellors and language translators will also be on hand to provide facilitation and answer queries. Parents and students will also be shown school materials, including DVDs from various schools, yearbooks and curriculum handbooks.
This educational event will provide parents and students an opportunity to:
• gain an extra perspective of Australian secondary schools whilst meeting face to face with senior school representatives from Australia
• see and learn how committed, professional and well-established a particular school is and whether it meets the students’ needs
• learn how the school will equip the students to adapt and integrate into a new environment – both academically and culturally
• learn about the advanced teaching styles and methodologies in Australia
• see how the school will provide opportunities to enable students to become well rounded global/world citizens of the future
The Australian Secondary School Exhibition and Cocktail Party will be held on Saturday July 3rd 2010 from 11am-4pm at The Westin Grande Sukhumvit Hotel (Grand Ballroom) on Sukhumvit Soi 19.
