Eligibility:-An Honours degree, or international equivalent, in a science or related discipline or a degree in medicine or dentistry. For science graduates, a first-class or an upper-second-class degree is the standard minimum requirement. Two academic references are required.
-Applicants whose first language is not English require a minimum of IELTS 6.5 for each sub-section, TOEFL 90 (Internet-based) or equivalent. Applicants with lower English language qualifications may be accepted if they follow a pre-sessional English course at our INTO Newcastle University Centre which provides extra tuition to help students meet the University’s English language requirements.

Scholarship Description:This new MSc programme is designed to provide you with a broad education in diverse areas of medical sciences. You will gain an understanding of the principles and practices that underpin contemporary medical sciences and biomedicine. The programme is suitable for graduates with a background in biomedical sciences, medicine or dentistry and for graduates from more varied backgrounds who require a conversion course that will allow them to acquire expertise and specialist knowledge in biomedicine. The knowledge and skills acquired will be relevant to a wide range of careers, including those in the health sector, academia and industry for which a Masters’ level education is desirable or essential. The programme will also provide an excellent preparation for a higher level research degree.
