Samsung Electronics Global Scholarship 2007 (GSP – SKK MBA Program) Samsung Electronics is offering a scholarship to all final year undergraduates in areas of Business studies, Languages, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics & Mathematics to pursue a MBA Degree at the Graduate School of Business, Sung Kyun Kwan (SKK) University – a newly established business school in collaboration with Samsung Group and MIT Sloan School of Management – in Seoul commencing in September 2007.
Main Objective
To cultivate university graduates with great potential into future Samsung leaders who can spearhead the expedition of localization and to achieve our vision to become a global leader in digital convergence technology and products in the 21st century.
Selection Criteria
• Final year undergraduates in various disciplines
• Good academic results (GPA) more than 3.20 is a must
• Energetic, creative, committed to deliver results & excellent interpersonal skills
• Good command of English (TOEFL score for non-native English speakers,
TOEIC score more than 800 or IELTS score –more than 6.5)
• Other factors that will be considered are
- GMAT score, Recommendation Letter, Essay written by applicants
Details of Scholarship
• 100% subsidy of registration / tuition fees
• Monthly living allowances of 1,000,000 Korean Won
(As at Feb. `06, Exchange Rate: US$1 = 970 Korean Won)
• Hostel accommodation and student group medical insurance provided
• Home Passage – 1 free return air ticket per year to one’s mother country
Employment
• Scholars will have to sign a four year contract to work in Samsung Electronics (two years in HQ, Korea and two years at the regional headquarters/overseas subsidiary) upon completion of the Master Program.
• Internship will be offered at Samsung Electronics in Korea and the regional headquarters during Summer & Winter Vacation
